Babysitter
A few hours looking after your children while you are out
Babysitter
If you are going out for the day or the evening then you might require a Babysitter. This is a smaller role than that of a nanny and has fewer responsibilities. The main role of a Babysitter is to supervise children while you are out of the house for a short amount of time. Here at Annie’s Nannies® we have a range of experienced babysitters who offer short-term childcare.
What is the Role of a Babysitter?
A Babysitter is usually called in for an evening or set number of hours during the day to look after children while you are out. It tends to be evening childcare while children are in bed and the main duty is supervision. If the children are older, the Babysitter may assist with getting them to bed. Usually, little children and babies are in bed already before the parents’ head out. In this instance Babysitters do not take care of any childcare duties, except basic tasks such as changing nappies or helping little ones to the toilet. They are usually paid at an hourly rate and this increases after midnight.
Key Responsibilities of a Babysitter
Supervising the children while they are sleeping
Changing nappies or helping the children to the toilet
Being there if the children wake up
